Minimalistic with sleek black, white and greys plus anyone can rock their gear men and women (you all know how much I love wearing my boyfriend’s clothing HAHAHA!). Not to mention each item practically goes with everything.

“Lead not Follow” is their motto, it is the one thing I truly respect about fashion, the fact that you can express your own individuality through what you wear and that is exactly what drew me to KAPTN. Their clothing inspires you to be creative, be an individual and most importantly be YOU.

What better way to share it than to hold a giveaway for all you beautiful people!!! KAPTN is giving away not one but TWO snapback hats!!!

If your hair is anything like mine, frizzy, uncontrollable, 24 hour bed hair (not in a good way) and just out right CRAZY this maybe the giveaway for you. It honestly saves you the world of time, you don’t have to worry about styling you crazy head of hair. Outfit post and Personal Thoughts – Self Esteem

Cat Print Shirt – Vintage | Pants – American Apparel | Converse Chuck Lites – Hype | Bowler Hat – Vintage

Photos taken by Yunn Chin Photography

Last month my self-esteem suffered a drastic decline. Don’t get wrong, I am not complaining bout my body type or the way I look. I just suffered from evil thoughts that were spawned from my own insecurities.

The bad diets and the 2 months abandoning my routine workout at the gym finally caught up to me. I didn’t experience drastic changes in my body; it was just the way I felt. Brought on by abusing my body with the unusual amount junk food and lack of exercise.

As much as I celebrate loving yourself and the way you look not matter how big, small, curvy or thin you are. Sometimes, negative and unreasonable thoughts just seem to get in the way.

On days that I’m suffering from my own mental block, I wear slimming colors like black. I wear baggier shirts, prints are usually my best friend and a little touch of colour also helps to brighten my day.

Now, back at the gym, strenuously trying to get back into my old routine by attempting a healthier practice of eating. I already feel that little bit better, prouder and this has solved the unreasonable put-downs I put on myself.

Please tell me I’m not the only one that suffers from their own metal abuse (wow I sound crazy). If you too suffer from this, I’m curious to know what do you wear to cover the bulge?

Thanks for visiting 🙂

I’ll be posting some exciting things this week so stay tuned.

Outfit post – Topman Football Jersey

Shirt – Topman | Disco Pants – American Apparel | Hat – Stussy | Shoes – Shubar

Photographer – Yunn Chin

There I was having second thoughts feeling a little vulnerable about posting my personal and private thoughts.

But Wow, thank you so much for all your kind words and support from my earlier post. It is really comforting to know that I’m not the only one that struggles to post consistently, with so many any other commitments that get in the way. So thank you again 🙂

It has been a while since I’ve posted an outfit and even though I’m still really excited to share the runway shows I attended at Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival. I think it’s time to spice things up and bring out some of the outfits that I’ve been wearing since then.

It’s the second week back to college; sitting through lectures can be tiring and at times very uncomfortable. Because of this, I find myself wearing more casual, chilled and comfortable clothing to keep me going through the day.

A big trend that I have fallen in love with is the football jersey. It is so cute and you can wear it almost anywhere by dressing it down or up by paring it with heels and a skirt. I actually found this jersey in the Topman while I was looking for something for my boyfriend. Even though it’s made for men, I thought it was a good steal because of how comfortable it is due to it’s baggy make. Another plus is that both me and boyfriend Chin can wear it, you know what they say “sharing is caring” hehehe 🙂

What do you wear that’s comfortable and gets you through your day?

Featured in Booodl – Style Scouted by Margaret Zhang

Last week at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival, I met the amazing Margaret Zhang. She was there style scouting for preview.Booodl.com.
She is one of the Fashion bloggers (blog –Shine by Three) that inspired me to start blogging not to mention she is so amazing and breathtakingly beautiful. So you can imagine how starstruck I was when I finally met her.

As soon as I saw her, I started hyperventilating like a teen girl meeting one of the boys from one direction (sorry, it’s the only comparison I could think of -.-‘). I tried to play it cool but in the corner of my eye I saw her coming towards me and as soon as she asked if she could take a photo of my outfit, everything went downhill from there.
My excitement quickly turned into uncontrollable word vomit, attacking her with overly excited sentences “I know you! I love all your outfits, you are amazing!” I could hear myself embarrassing myself and the little voice of reason told me to stop but I just couldn’t. It was like a train wreck that I just stood back and helplessly watched.

I’ve been kicking myself since and running it over and over again in my head, thinking about how I would of done it differently without embarrassing myself. But I guess on the bright side it has turned into a funny story to share.

So Margaret if you ever read this (which I don’t blame you if you don’t) sorry for the overly excited reaction and thank you for giving me such a memorable story to tell.

Here is a snap from the website preview.Booodl.com. It’s just a preview to their up and coming official site but they feature some pretty cool runway shows from the festival. Plus they have some interesting stuff on there which makes it worth checking it out.

I’ll be posting more photos on this outfit soon so keep a look out and next post I’ll be featuring the looks seen on the runway, so stay tuned.

Hope you guys enjoyed my embarrassing encounter with my equivalent to a celebrity.

Thanks for visiting 🙂

Fluro Aztec Oversized Cardigan

Oversized Cardigan – Boohoo | Disco Pants – American Apparel | Crop Too – Supre | Heels – Wandering souls | Belt – Vintage

Photographer – Yunn Chin

Wow! It’s been so long since I’ve posted an outfit.

I’m usually more excited to post about a photoshoot I’ve styled or an event I went to, which makes it surprising that I’m actually excited about an outfit post. (It’s probably just because it’s been a while since I’ve shared what’s in my closet)

Something this winter that I have recycled, reused and re-worn again and again is my fluro Aztec oversized cardigan. This past month has been unforgiving; cold, wet and grey skies but through it all, my cardigan has saved me from some miserable cold winter days and nights. Plus I bought it on sale, which makes it that much sweeter Woot Woot!

I wore this outfit over lunch with girlfriends and over the weekend. Even though the weather has been depressing, I’m a true believer of brightening up your day with some colour.

My favourite match with this cardigan is my lavender disco pants, the colours compliment each other so well.
Not to give people eyestrain with too much colour, I wore a basic black crop. Wearing an oversized throw over can make you look shorter so teaming it up with high-waist pants and a crop can compliment you length.
To balance the colours, I wore a bright peach belt and black tipped pumps.

I know for some, this cardigan may be to florescent for your liking, however, don’t be fooled by my crazy way of styling. To tame it down you can pair it with a basic LBD or black pants and a black top.

What item of clothing has kept you alive this winter? I’d love to know 😉

This week I’ll be posting the first bridal shoot I’ve styled, EXCITING!

Keep a look out on the behind the scenes photos which will be up soon.

Thanks for visiting 🙂

Shirt Bag from Cream

Shirt – ASOS  |  Disco Pants – American Apparel  |  Shoes – Converse  |  Jacket – Cotton On  |  Bag – Shirt Bag from Cream

At college, I met this girl called Kat and she was wearing the most awesome bag I’ve ever seen. No, it was not a big brand name like Luis Vuitton or Chanel, it was actually a brand that I had never heard of before.

We were walking to the food court and I expressed that I needed a new backpack. I realised my Coach and Michael Kors bag was not appropriate to be carrying books in (face palm moment).

She then told me about her awesome bag that was made from a shirt. At first I thought it sounded pretty cool but as soon as I laid my eyes on it,  I was in awe.

It was AWESOME!!!

You should really see this bag in person to understand the extensiveness of how awesome it actually is but I’ll try my best to describe it.  The front of the bag where the collar was located was actually a pocket and the sides where the sleeves were sewn were pockets too.

Ok, so I’ll be the first to admit that I get pretty damn excited when I see something I like. However, this bag was so awesome that another girl in class overheard our conversation and bought the bag too. Now we all match hehehe.

The weekend after, I went to buy the bag in Newtown Sydney and realized that they had an amazing collection of clothes. I was upset that I didn’t know about this store earlier.

The bags that they stocked all had individual designs, none of them were the same. This made the selection process so much harder because I could only choose one.

Initially I was leaning more towards the crazy patterned and coloured design but then Chin reminded me that I would be using the bag everyday. So I decided to go for the red, still bold but at least I can match it with a lot more outfits.

If you haven’t already heard of the store you should definitely check it out (unfortunately it is only located in Australia) –http://www.creamonline.com.au/

If you are in Australia, you can find the stores at –

Cream On Crown – 32/277-285 Crown Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010

Cream On King – 317 King Street, Newtown NSW 2042

This week, Thank you to WhatIWear.com, I was fortunate enough to attend Sydney Fashion Weekend as “media” :D.

Stay tunned during the week to see what I got up to at Sydney Fashion Weekend. Keep an eye out for the behind the scene post from my latest phootshoot – coming soon 🙂

Pretty in Pink

Bag – Guess  Pants – American Apparel  Shoes – Miss Shop  Necklace – Forever 21  Collared Shirt – Chicabooti  Crop Tank – Supre

It’s just passed mid way through the week, almost March and already the year is taking off in rapid speed. Resumes have been sent for a fashion internship, collage applications completed and my diary is already exploding with to do lists.  ARGHHH! So hard to catch a breath and keep up with the express train called life. Although I feel at times that everything is weighing on me, I take comfort in the fact that one glorious day the struggles and sacrifices will pay off. Until then I will happily distract myself with my favourite accessories, clothes, bags and the joy of dressing up.

Preppy and retro, the words that came to mind when I got dressed for work on Tuesday morning. A common trend that you will see regularly; is my use of bright colours or showcasing one particular colour in my outfit. For this day and I’m sure many days to come, I choose my favourite colour (some of you will disagree with this choice but I don’t care) PINK!

With the sky painted grey, a cold breeze in the air, I thought bringing out the hot pink would be most appropriate to brighten up the day. Wearing my favourite disco pants, teaming it up it up with a love heart felt pattern shirt, created a good mixture of texture. To tie the outfit together I used a cropped singlet as a vest. For someone who was not blessed with height, wearing cropped shirts can create length to any outfit. To finish it off I wore a gold chunky necklace under the collar to polish up the look.

Stay tuned for this weeks outfits.
